Identification
is a very important part of the Disclosure application process and as such SDAS carry out face to face interviews with applicants to ensure identification documents and employment details are correct.
Identification Documents
Disclosure Scotland require 3 forms of identification one of which should be photograph identification and can include:
- Birth certificate
- Passport
- Driving Licence
- Electricity Supplier
- Utility bill
- Bank statement
How Much Does It Cost?
The current cost of a Disclosure in Scotland is £20.
SDAS fee per application is £12 provided the face to face meeting is in Dunblane. If the meeting takes place at the clients home or place of employment there is an additional cost for travel calculated at approximately 30p per mile.

If you require the services of SDAS complete our contact form and we will contact you to arrange a meeting.
- At the meeting, Michael will explain the process and the types of checks which will take place once the application form reaches Disclosure Scotland.
- When the application has been completed SDAS will send it to Disclosure Scotland who will process the application.
- A Disclosure will be issued and sent to the applicants current address.
- SDAS receive a copy of the Disclosure.
- SDAS will contact the applicant to ensure the Disclosure has been received and accurate.
- SDAS will draw any inaccuracy to the attention of Disclosure Scotland who will arrange issue of new Disclosure if appropriate.
- Registered Body copy of Disclosure must be destroyed within 90 days to comply with Data Protection legislation and Code of Practice.
