SDAS can remove the burden of the Disclosure process and carry out the work for you.
Arrangements can be put in place to have a named person in your organisation verify identification documents and forward copies along with the application form(s) to SDAS where the countersigning would take place and application form(s) forwarded to Disclosure Scotland.
When the Registered Body copy of the Disclosure is received by SDAS, employers can choose to see the copy and undertake to destroy it within 90 days or return it to SDAS for destruction. Alternatively and which is acceptable to a number of employers, SDAS will advise the employer in writing if there is no relevant information or previous convictions contained on the Disclosure and destroy within 90 days.
If there is relevant information or previous convictions SDAS would forward the copy to the employer for any action they required to take, on the undertaking in writing, that the employer destroy it within 90 days or return to SDAS for destruction.
